Omar Ali-Shamaa is an associate of Marko & Magolnick, P.A. Mr. Ali-Shamaa practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation. He has experience in landlord-tenant disputes, fraud, negligence, personal injury, contractual disputes, complex business litigation, property disputes, and corporate matters.
Mr. Ali-Shamaa was admitted to the Bar in 2016 and received his law degree from Florida International University College of Law, where he graduated in the top 15% of his class receiving cum laude honors. While in law school, Mr. Ali-Shamaa was a senior staff member of the FIU Law Review and received the Book Award in Real Estate Transactions, and was on the Dean’s List several times. He was also a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution team where he finished as the number one ranked negotiator in the United States in the 2014-2015 American Bar Association Negotiation Competition. As a result, he was honored with the opportunity to represent the United States in the 2015 International Negotiation Competition in Dublin, Ireland.
Mr. Ali-Shamaa received an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Florida International University and a certificate in Middle Eastern Studies. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Ali-Shamaa was in the hospitality industry where he served as an independent restaurant consultant in South Florida and New York. He utilizes this experience on behalf of the firms’ hospitality clients.
Mr. Ali-Shamaa was born in New York and has lived and traveled throughout the Middle East. He is fluent in Arabic.
